Centrally located adjacent to Seattle’s downtown business core, this 32-story residential tower represents a major new element for the First Hill neighborhood. The building includes 335 luxury apartment units and boasts numerous amenities on the 1st and 31st floors including a wine bar, yoga studio and club room with Mount Rainier views.
Rushing designed HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems for the tower, including an air-cooled variable refrigerant flow system. Under the guidance of the Sustainability Studio, the project is on target to achieve LEED-NC certification at the Gold level. Access to transit options, optimized energy performance and water use reduction all contribute to the sustainability of the project.
Additional contributions from the energy modeling and lighting design teams rounded out the project, utilizing the full force of Rushing’s expertise. The Rushing lighting design studio achieved an Illuminating Engineering Society Award of Merit for the project.
