Project Description

Seattle, Washington

This six-story building includes residential, retail, and restaurant space. Adjacent to one of the most sustainable buildings in the world, the Bullitt Center, the project aims to create a building that not only meets the requirements of LEED, but also suits the energetic, environmentally conscious Capitol Hill neighborhood. The project will include a number of green features such as a green roof, native plant landscaping, Energy Star appliances, and occupancy sensor lighting and ventilation systems. Building materials are being locally sourced and selected for supporting healthier air quality. Rushing’s Sustainability Studio is leading pursuit of LEED for Homes Mid-Rise certification, resulting in a successful LEED Platinum certification in 2020. Rushing is also providing full design of the MEP and lighting systems, LEED and Seattle Energy Code energy modeling, and fundamental commissioning for the project.
