The Northwest Design Review Board recommended moving a new 23-story University District residential tower to MUP application at an August 24 design review meeting. Rushing is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering as well as lighting design and sustainability consulting for the site located on the west side of the U District at 700 NE 45th Street, also known as Victory at the U.

The site includes three levels of commercial space and 20 floors of approximately 165 residential units with three levels of below grade parking and an open neighborhood plaza at street level.

Project team members from Weber Thompson and Champion Real Estate proposed three massing options for Victory at the U, including the preferred option designed to emulate a waterfall, which the board unanimously supported.
