Rushing team finishes 2019 Tough Mudder

The Rushing team participated in the Tough Mudder Classic Seattle endurance run and obstacle course this September. This was the company’s third year participating in Tough Mudder with a team of 15 people with more joining to cheer on the group.

“Everyone there was supporting one another,” said Chris Anderson, project electrical engineer, about the highlight of the event for him.

The team completed the Tough Mudder Classic course which extends between eight and 10 miles and includes 25 obstacles. “My favorite obstacle was the rotating structures in the water that required teamwork—you could not do it on your own,” said Lindsey Gaunt, energy analyst and mechanical engineer.  “Leadership showed up in people didn’t necessarily expect, encouraging the group to stick together and going back to help others get through obstacles” she added.

The race ended in Mudder Village where team members received finisher headbands color coded according to the number of years participated. While most in the group were first-time finishers, one earned a four-year participant band.

Gauthier De Langhe, project electrical engineer, said on what he appreciated most about the event: “it’s a great combination of hanging out with people you work with, running around outdoors and really interesting obstacles.”

We’re proud of our people. Meet the whole team.
