We are proud to announce that Stefanie Young, one of Rushing’s Sustainability Studio consultants, has been appointed to the USGBC’s LEED Sustainable Sites Technical Advisory Group (TAG)! Appointment to this group is no small endeavor. This year there were 330 applicants from which the review panel selected just 48 candidates. The LEED Steering Committee and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors conducted a thorough review process of each applicant to make these LEED committee selections. During her one-year appointment, Stefanie will be responsible for evaluating credit interpretation requests and potential addenda for both LEED versions 3 and 4.
As part of her responsibilities in the LEED Sustainable Sites TAG, Stefanie will be adapting LEED credits and evaluation measures within the Sustainable Sites Initiative, SITES Rating System (www.sustainablesites.org). The United States Botanic Garden, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) run the Sustainable Sites Initiative with support from the USGBC and GBCI.
