Rushing projects earned three awards at the 2020 NAIOPWA Night of the Stars annual awards ceremony, including High-Rise Residential Development of the Year, Multi-Family Residential Urban Development of the Year: More than 100 Units, and Affordable Housing Development of the Year.
NEXUS, the 41-story condominium tower in Denny Triangle, was named High-Rise Residential Development of the Year. Rushing provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, as well as lighting design, sustainability consulting and energy services for NEXUS.
The Affordable Housing Development of the Year award went to An Lạc, a mixed-use, 6-story project which is also the new office for the Low-Income Housing Institute. Rushing was also MEP engineer, lighting designer and energy and commissioning consultant for the site.
Jackson Apartments was named winner of the Multi-Family Residential Urban Development of the Year: More than 100 Units award. Rushing provided electrical engineering and full lighting design for this seven-story, two-building project.
The annual awards competition, held virtually for the first time ever, recognizes outstanding real estate developments across numerous market types, evaluating projects “for impact on the community, market adaptability, ingenuity and local contributions.”
