Rushing provided energy auditing services for the EMP|SFM museum which is housed in a 140,000 SF building designed by Frank O. Gehry. This prominently visible structure has the presence of an iconic sculpture set amid the backdrop of the Seattle Center. Phase-I energy audits identified 64 ECMs with 34% energy savings and 2.6 year payback. The Puget Sound Energy (PSE) Building Energy Optimization Program (BEOP, now Certified Building Tune-Up or CBTU) provided support for retro-commissioning (RCx), and Seattle City Light supported both RCx and energy auditing via utility rebates.

Rushing Principals are pre-approved to provide PSE CBTU services.
