Cypress Apartments (Block 3)
Seattle Cypress Apartments completed construction in 2021. Bounded by East Fir Street, Yesler Way, Broadway, and 10th Avenue, this site features below-grade parking, retail spaces, 233 residential flats, a fitness center, and Sky Lounge among other resident amenities. Where nature meets nurture, Cypress offers landscaped common areas within the courtyard, a roof deck with extensive views featuring an Alvéole community beehive, and over 15,000 square feet dedicated to a pocket park on the North-East corner of the block.
Cypress Apartments participates in the City of Seattle Multifamily Property Tax Exemption (MFTE) Program, offering a select number of homes to low to moderate-income households. By supporting mixed-income residential development in the urban centers, the MFTE program ensures affordability as the Seattle community grows.
Rushing provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and lighting design-build, along with sustainability consulting services to meet LEED Multifamily Gold certification. We were honored to work on this project with Vulcan Real Estate, Runberg Architecture Group, Greystar, and Exxel Pacific.
