Shashank Singh

Energy Analyst/Mechanical Engineer

P.E.

Shashank is an Energy Analyst at Rushing. He is passionate about the environment and focuses on energy management strategies that can reduce the overall impact of building energy use. He is particularly interested in the possibilities of whole building energy simulation to analyze the interactions between the building and its HVAC system.

Shashank completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT University), India. After graduation, the field experience he gained as an MEP on-site engineer fueled his interest in the design aspect of the building industry. After completing his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Shashank moved to Seattle to work as a mechanical designer, where he gained valuable experience in modular construction design.

At Rushing, his goal is to provide potential building energy savings measures well before the first brick is laid. Shashank is also working towards getting his Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) certification.

Shashank spends much of his spare time outside work playing soccer (KTBFFH) and badminton. He also enjoys hiking and hopes to hike the Stampede Trail someday.
