With a conviction that the built environment shapes our communities, Carissa is driven to help develop healthier & more sustainable buildings utilizing human-centered, sustainable, and biophilic design practices. 

She has cultivated a broad experience working with interdisciplinary teams to achieve big goals. No stranger to challenging projects, Carissa has worked on numerous “one of a kind” builds and savors the integrative process of working with individuals from various fields to bring the dream to life. In sustainable and wellness building certification management, Carissa is experienced in WELL, Fitwel, LEED, Living Building Challenge, City of Seattle Green Building Standard, and the Shoreline Deep Green Incentive. Additionally, Carissa is highly skilled in project management and ESG benchmarking management. Carissa’s subject matter expertise lies in Green Infrastructure: green roofs, green walls, interior plantscaping, biophilic design, and sustainable landscaping. From design through operations and maintenance, Carissa is passionate about developing sustainable systems to connect people with nature within the built environment. 

In her free time, Carissa is building an online school for sustainable horticulture, creating biophilic art, and teaching Zumba.
