“Scientists investigate that which already is; engineers create that which has never been.” – Albert Einstein
At Rushing, we are committed to the challenge and believe that success often exists outside the traditional boundaries.
Eric joined Rushing in 2006 shortly after Rae Anne and Scott founded the company and has been a leader focused on the engineering technical excellence of the design and consulting services at Rushing. With a reputation for precision, and a passion for details and problem solving, Eric dedicates his time to ensure each project finds solutions that are constructible, cost-effective and energy-efficient. In addition to his years of consulting engineering experience, Eric worked for contractors for eight years prior to joining Rushing, which contributes to his thorough understanding of the contractor’s needs and perspective. We like to call Eric “Rushing’s in-house code encyclopedia.”
Eric is currently an appointed member of Seattle’s Construction Codes Advisory Board (CCAB), representing mechanical engineers since 2008. He also represented mechanical engineers on the Washington State Building Code Council (SBCC) from 2011 to 2020 which included participating as the chair of the Mechanical, Ventilation, and Energy Code (MVE) Committee and chair of the Mechanical Code Technical Advisory Group (TAG). If there were ever an award for most committed code geek, Eric would take away the first-place ribbon.
Eric is a Seattle Sounders FC fan and enjoys attending games with his family.
