David brings his sense of aesthetics and passion for problem-solving to Rushing from the eclectic New York City lighting world. He enjoys being a member of Rushing’s interdisciplinary and heavily collaborative lighting design team. David feels lighting in engineering presents a unique marriage of aesthetics and pragmatics. He is fortunate to solve puzzles and face new daily challenges at work.

David graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015 with a Lighting Design degree before returning to Brooklyn. He built a broad career in lighting spanning a variety of implementations, including live entertainment, broadcast television, televised commercials, corporate application, events, and architainment.

A native of Queens, New York, David enjoys exploring Seattle and the West Coast. When not working, David is hiking, at the local climbing gym, working through the New York Times Crossword, or watching one of several perennially terrible sports teams he supports.
