Ben Drake

Manager of BIM Services

Ben was inspired to work in the AEC field by a school trip to the Lloyd’s Building, a ‘leading example of radical Bowellism Architecture.

With a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Exeter, UK, and a post-graduate diploma in construction project management from London South Bank University, UK, Ben’s expertise lies in supporting design teams in drafting and 3D spatial coordination of building services models using Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. He aims to create a harmonious working environment, enabling team members to be productive by sharing knowledge, giving guidance, and being a good listener.

Ben’s career started in 2005 with engineering drafting and 3D modeling/spatial coordination of building services in AutoCAD and MEP fabrication for engineering contractors in London. Project types included airports, train stations, hospitals, hotels, schools, data centers, government, and luxury residential properties. He has done work on behalf of Skanska, WSP, Atkins Global, Jacobs, and AECOM.

Since moving to Seattle in 2015, Ben’s projects have focused on BIM management for residential properties with an American ‘technology-driven off-site’ construction company and, most recently, document and model management within the Rushing BIM team.

Ben loves life in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys exploring the San Juan Islands. Having passed the ‘America’s Boating Course’ test, he is always trying to get more experience in boating!
