Rushing to present at Passive House Northwest Conference 2020

Rushing’s Alexandra Ramsden and Andi Burnham have been named among speakers for the 11th annual Passive House Northwest Conference. The session, entitled “Pursuing High-Rise Multifamily Energy Efficiency in Seattle” will explore design strategies, aligned with passive house principles, for keeping pace with regional energy code changes.

Alexandra Ramsden, principal and director of sustainability, energy and commissioning, and Andi Burnham, manager of energy services, will present from Rushing, along with Myer Harrell, principal and director of sustainability at Weber Thompson. The session will be on Friday, March 13, from 10:30-11:45 a.m.

This presentation follows a 2018 white paper of the same name co-authored by Alexandra, Myer and Rushing’s Nathan Miller, senior energy analyst and mechanical engineer. The white paper examined the impact of the Seattle Energy Code on design and construction of high-rise multifamily buildings.

Passive House Northwest’s conference will be in Seattle, Washington, March 12-14, 2020 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront.
