Sound Transit will begin construction on the 130th Street light rail station north of downtown Seattle later this year, ahead of schedule. Rushing is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering as well as lighting design and energy services for this and other stations that are part of the Lynnwood Link Expansion.
The accelerated 130th Street station construction, scheduled for opening in 2031, is intended to minimize disruption of Lynnwood Link travelers, scheduled to begin service as early as 2024.
Rushing is also a project team member on the East Link and E360 Sound Transit projects expanding light rail service throughout the Puget Sound region.
