LEED AP BD+C
Qing honed her energy modeling skill set conducting energy simulation research in TRNSYS utilizing the solid MEP knowledge she developed while earning master’s degrees in both Building Science and Architectural Engineering. Before joining Rushing, Qing worked for 3 years as an energy modeler at a Seattle-based LEED consulting firm. Her performance simulation experience using eQUEST spans new construction, commercial interiors, and core and shell projects all around the Puget Sound area. Qing analyzes the unique parameters of every project to serve each client’s particular needs utilizing powerful modeling tools to evaluate energy reduction design schemes, obtain building permits, or achieve LEED certification.
On the weekends, Qing likes to explore Seattle’s beautiful waterways and bike trails – a kayak, a beach cruiser, a sailboat, or a scooter might be her mode of choice when the weather cooperates. She also enjoys an authentic taste of Seattle, from a lager or pilsner to a pumpkin porter.
