The Eleanor Apartments were awarded Multifamily Development of the Year at NAIOP’s Night of the Stars 2017 event this past Friday. Rushing provided MEP Engineering for this project, as well as energy modeling and lighting design services.
From the NAIOP Gallery:
The 260-unit Eleanor is a block from the future Roosevelt light rail station. A two-building design addresses site-specific challenges. A reduced scale east building acknowledges nearby single-family residences, while the larger west building expresses movement and shelters the east building and intervening courtyard from I-5. Roof rainwater runs around the buildings and courtyard, passing through exposed downspouts and open runnels to celebrate water in motion and recall streams that once ran through the site.
Congrats to all on a great event!
