The new tenant space was outfitted with an entirely new direct digital control (DDC) system which monitors and controls all of the HVAC systems and monitors all energy use (electricity and natural gas) for the office. With help from Seattle City Light and the Energy Smart incentive program, the outdated HVAC units were replaced with new high-efficiency equipment and high-efficiency lighting fixtures were installed to make the Rushing office space 15% more efficient in HVAC and 38% more efficient in lighting than the national standard.
